AI Transparency Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Onset, operated by Crans & Co., may use artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies to support our work. This policy explains how AI is used, the role of human oversight, the limitations of AI, and how your information may be processed when AI-powered features are involved.
AI Usage
We use AI and machine learning inside the platform to:
- Answer routine customer conversations in TikTok Shop.
- Summarise and analyse LIVE stream performance.
- Produce finance and margin reporting from your order data.
- Draft suggested replies and actions for your team to review.
We also use AI in our own product development, documentation, and research. AI output inside the platform is subject to the oversight controls each seller sets.
Customer Service Agent
Our customer-service agent works inside TikTok Shop to resolve routine customer conversations — cancellations, returns, refunds, and order questions — using the policies each seller defines. The agent acts only inside those approved policies.
Conversations that fall outside the policies, or that a customer asks to escalate, are routed to a human with the relevant order history and context attached. Sensitive actions stay under human control: the agent prepares and explains, and a person decides. Sellers can review, override, or turn the agent off at any time.
Third-Party AI Providers
Certain features may utilize trusted third-party AI providers. Examples of such providers include organizations similar to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and other enterprise AI services. We do not represent that every listed provider is always used, and the specific providers we rely on may change over time as services and capabilities evolve.
User Input Processing
When you interact with AI-powered functionality, the information you submit may be securely processed through third-party AI APIs for the purpose of providing the requested functionality. This may include transmitting your input to a provider’s servers for processing and returning a result.
AI Limitations
AI-generated content may contain mistakes, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should independently review all outputs before relying on them for:
- Business decisions
- Financial decisions
- Legal decisions
- Medical decisions
- Compliance decisions
- Operational implementation
No Professional Advice
AI-generated responses are general information and are not legal, financial, accounting, tax, medical, or regulatory advice. For advice specific to your situation, consult an appropriately qualified professional.
Model Training
Onset does not use your shop data or your customers’ conversations to train our own AI models. Third-party providers may have their own data-handling practices according to their published privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies to understand how they treat submitted information.
Human Oversight
AI assists your team; it does not replace your judgment. Where you choose to require it, outputs are reviewed by a person before being acted upon. Final responsibility for decisions made using the platform remains with you and your team.
Security
We follow commercially reasonable security practices when working with AI tools, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information processed through third-party AI APIs.
Changes to This Policy
As AI technology and its governance evolve, we may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
